My practice focuses on living systems and the subsequent emergent phenomena taking place as these systems interact with themselves, their environment and the viewer. I am interested in how institutions control our perceptions of the natural world and in creating interactive installations that empower both the viewer and biological systems to collaboratively construct their own narratives. Research and experimentation in an ever expanding range of fields including fungi, microbes, plants, arthropods, biomaterials and interactive/reactive systems is the heart of my process.
