am, first and foremost, a handler of materials – whether it is steel or acrylic, or the still or moving image – and I construct, layer, and assemble fragments until they finally fall into place. For me, falling into place is neither linear nor narrative. Rather, it is when I can bring together moments of time, materials, and physical settings into a looping, winding together – a material existence within itself. Both the visual image and 3D materials can reveal the visceral feelings and fragments of life’s daily encounters, and I am trying to capture those glimpses of reality for myself.
