As an artist working and living in both London and Shanghai, different culture shocks and communications always give me a lot of inspiration of creation. In my practice, I focus on the exchange and communication of various cultures.

There are two systems of human language, one is the voice system, and the other is the body language system. The latter seems to be more obscure, but usually its expression is more realistic. The hand is an important part of body language. Its bones, skin and texture can, to some extent, reflect a person’s inner world, life state, gender characteristics and even social stratification.

As a result, I will concentrate on the way people use hand gestures when communicating and what they want to express behind words.
